Wednesday’s 9am General Meeting will be hosted by Bill Donohoe - Skilled
systems professional with substantial experience in a wide range of
industries. Successively lauded in aerospace, wireless and
military career areas. Bell Labs President’s Awardee. Major
strengths include field applied research, new-product concept development,
manufacture, verification test, installation and implementation toward
operation of products that meet customer requirements in rapid-to-market
atmospheres. Department of Defense security clearance.
Our
Guest Speaker booked for this week has had to cancel – due to a broken
leg! An attempt was made to get several of our future speakers to move
up to this week, but none were able to re-schedule.
We
will use the time to form networking groups based on profession – which we
haven’t had the opportunity to do for 6 months now! After the
meeting agenda, announcements, break, we will use the two back conference
rooms and break our meeting room into five sections – creating space for 7
different networking groups. The groups will be broken down
into:
IT/IS
Accounting/Finance
Sales/Marketing
Engineering
Manufacturing/Management/Operations
Admin./HR/Purchasing/Insurance
Science/Pharmaceutical.
The two largest groups will get the conference rooms, with the other 5
sharing the meeting room (1 in each of the 4 corners and 1 in the center)
For those of you who haven’t been around PSG to do this before, it is a
great networking opportunity to meet others in your field or similar field,
share job search resources including websites and other networking groups,
as well as tools and techniques of searching in your area. Be sure to
start a sheet around each group with each persons name / phone / email /
specialty / industry to stay in touch with each other!
