Computer Group
The
computer group is responsible for updating and maintaining the PSG database containing
Member and Company information. They print the Company mailing labels, return labels,
reports, nametags, and company-calling sheets used by PSG members.
The computer group also maintains the Matching
database. This a tool used by the Opportunity Center to match members with incoming job
descriptions.
Web Page updates are completed on Monday
afternoon and e-mailed to Trenton so the Web Page can be updated and the bulletin created
for the weekly mailing.
The PSG databases and other data are backed up
once a week to be used for recovery.
The WINFAX machine has been set up by and is
maintained by the computer group. This is used to send out multiple faxes if a company
requests faxes rather than e-mail.
E-mail is received from many employers (resume
requests, job descriptions, and other requests) and is responded to by the computer group
using templates. If a resume is sent out the Member is also copied. Job descriptions are
forwarded to the Opportunity Center for matching and sent out to companies when returned
to the Computer Group.
Software upgrades and new software are
maintained by the computer group and members of the staff in Trenton.
